On an average day 80% of people with Acne felt depressed with nearly 4 in 10 being treated for depression.
Over 50% of those aged between 20-34 have used a sunbed to treat their Acne despite the knowledge of skin cancer and premature ageing.
40% of Children with Acne fail to concentrate on their studies and 2 out of 3 have their performance affected. 17% are also subject to bullying.
Almost a 33% think about their Acne more than 10 times a day.
The NHS considers scarring as cosmetic and treatment is therefore underfunded.
2 out of 3 adults felt their performance at work suffered because of Acne. 83% said their confidence had been affected.
Without adequate treatment 84% of people will retain skin scaring from Acne.
Over 3 weeks schooling is lost in a child's life every year through Acne. Almost 50% believe their fitness has suffered as a result.
1 in 10 adults believed they had been refused a job or promotion because of Acne and 1 in 3 said that it had affected them getting the job they wanted.
1 in 5 children with Acne take time off from their studies because of how they feel and over half have to have time off to be treated for their Acne.
