Oily skin is the result of over productive sebaceous glands. Ketsugo gently reduces the amount of oil(sebum) the sebaceous glands produce. During the treatment with Ketsugo, the sebaceous glands gradually produce a normal amount of oil and the skin does not dry out. Over drying of the skin can lead to more production of oil to compensate for the dryness.
Combination skin happens when oil production varies over the facial area. It is often referred to as the T zone and incorporates the forehead, nose and chin area of the face. The T zone can be prone to oiliness leading to clogged pores and outbreaks of spots. The remaining area of facial skin can be dry or normal. Combination skin often occurs during the summer months or for women at the onset to PMT.
Whiteheads, blackheads, spots and acne can be caused by hormonal disorder, stress and nervousness.
These symptoms can aggravate and enlarge the sebaceous glands which then produce excess oil.
Skin then becomes shiny, pores expand and the complexion looks blemished.
If left untreated, the problem can get worse as the elimination of dead skin cells begins to slow down blocking the sebaceous glands and preventing oil from getting through.
KETSUGO has been the subject of a series of very thorough and strictly controlled clinical and safety studies plus assessment by a dermatologist on men and women with excessively oily facial skin: 40 men and women with severe oiliness of the facial skin took part in trials conducted by a French dermatologist. Results show that within 21 days, 65% of the men and women had skin within the normal oiliness range and all reported an improvement in the quality and feel of their facial skin.
